Paralloy Group, through its subsidiary Manoir France, acquired a second large French foundry on the 1st March 2026. This strategic acquisition strengthens its growing Nuclear, Defence and Energy Capabilities and capacities along with access to a larger presence in critical castings for the mining industry.
The Acquisition of FONDERIES HACHETTE & DRIOUT based in the Grand Est region of France and with a history over 100 years has led to the creation of a new company as part of the Groups Energy Division called Firth Vickers France
This marks a significant milestone in the Group’s continued international expansion and strategic growth across the nuclear, defence and energy sectors.
This acquisition strengthens Paralloy Group’s position as a leading global supplier of high-integrity cast and machined components for critical applications. The new site will operate under the Firth Vickers Energy divisions brand and be part of a dedicated subsidiary FVF within the Group’s expanding Manoir France operations.
The addition of FHD enhances Paralloy’s European manufacturing footprint and significantly increases capacity to serve customers requiring advanced metallurgical expertise, precision engineering and robust supply chain resilience in highly regulated markets.
As a partner, Framatome is supporting the integration of FHD alongside Manoir France. With this partnership, the common ambition is to set up a sovereign production of high-quality castings for nuclear and defence applications.
This builds on Paralloy Group’s long-term strategy to develop and expand its core markets more specifically to:
- Expand strategic nuclear manufacturing capability and capacity
- Strengthen support for essential defence programmes
- Increase production capacity for the global energy transition
- Deliver supply chain resilience and excellence within Europe, along with manufacturing security and sovereignty within France
Firth Vickers and Manoir both have long-standing reputations for excellence in specialist steel castings and complex engineered components. Integrating FHD into the portfolio creates new opportunities for operational synergies, knowledge sharing and technical innovation across the Group.
Through the creation of Firth Vickers France, Paralloy Group reaffirms its commitment to investing in high-growth, high-integrity markets and supporting customers with world-class manufacturing capability.
This acquisition represents another key step in Paralloy Group’s strategic expansion programme, reinforcing its position as a trusted partner to the critical nuclear, defence and energy industries worldwide, whilst continuing to build on its class leading position within the Petrochemical sectors.
